Woodcraft Artisans isn't just a faceless online store - we have two brick and mortar locations in the charming Chesapeake Bay coastal towns of Annapolis and St. Michaels in Maryland. Our most popular items are nautical charts carved in wood. These awesome three-dimensional wood crafted maps can be custom-made of any water area, but over 6000 lakes and coastal areas are already mapped. For a custom fee of $30, we can create a map just for you.
It has become increasingly hard to find meaningful gifts, but when you receive a reminder of family vacations by your favorite lake in a form of a wooden map, gift is more than a gift. Or it could be a multilayered wooden picture of the place where you went on your honeymoon. These gifts come with a thought that warms heart.
Woodcraft Artisans has been in business for over 20 years: first 10 years in Puerto Rico and since 2009 in Maryland. It's no coincidence that we ended up selling maps. Before our stores we spent 13 years sailing around the world. We know our geography! We also know teak wood, because all those years sailing, we spent lots of time sitting on a teak deck. All furniture at the store is teak.
Maps are made in various sizes of wall art - starting from 8" x 10". Biggest size is 36" x 48" . All maps can be also made into a serving tray or a clock. All detail is cut & etched into Baltic Birch finished with a solid wood frame. All Charts have a solid wood frame & ready to hang. Prices are determined by material, size & difficulty (laser time & hand labor).
