​Cosmina ENE is the author of three books dedicated to abstraction and abstracts artists: “Toward Abstraction: The Path to Abstraction in Modern Art” (May 2017), “Paul Klee - Art and Teachings” (November 2018), and “Paul Klee’s Legacy” (July 2018).

In 2019, she started a series of books on the creative process of living artists titled “The Seeds of Creation,” gathering interviews of artists living and active in the New York area: “Interviews with 18 Contemporary Women Artists” (September 2019), and “Artists During the 2020 Pandemic” (May 2020).

“Art and Spirituality” is the third volume compiling 12 interviews about the importance of spirituality in contemporary artistic creation.
12 artists express their feelings on “Art and Spirituality” -  126 pages - 46 color photographs.

“Corona Virus spread a massive wave of fear and anxiety worldwide, especially during the first months of 2020. I believe that the Corona Virus was a turning point in the spiritual path of humanity, an incitement to look beyond our five senses and turn inside ourselves.”

Continuing my investigation on “The Seeds of Creation,” I had undertaken a new study among my fellow artists, and I asked them spiritual questions at the very moment when the Corona Virus forced New Yorkers to stay at home.  I thought that this period filled with great uncertainty was the perfect moment to question artists’ understanding of concepts such as God, life, death, or the notion of time. I have submitted a five-question interview to many artists active in the New York City area, and 11 of them agreed to share their feelings during the New York COVID’s lockdown between March and June 2020.

I had the opportunity to complete this study one year later, and I added one more interview. I believe that this epidemic has profoundly affected my interviewees’ physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual existence. For that reason, in June 2021, I asked artists to tell me if the Covid pandemic has changed their ideas of life, death, or God.
