Step Into a World Full Of Old Fashioned Charm and Affordable Kiwi Hospitality.

Situated in picturesque Acacia Bay, just 5 km from Taupo town and a short walk to the lake is The Loft, a lovely purpose built cottage style B&B with wrap-around porches and lovely gardens, backing onto a bush reserve with abundant bird life.
Come, sit and relax in our garden, listen to the birds sing whilst you enjoy a glass of wine before dinner.

We have three large well appointed rooms with their own ensuite bathrooms. The bathrooms have heated towel rails, hair dryers and toiletries. All rooms have queen size beds with electric blankets and lovely linen. There are TVs in each room and a table and chairs for comfort.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available.


All guests will enjoy free parking and wifi. We provide a generous free continental and cooked breakfast each morning and enjoy getting to know our guests and sharing stories as well as helping with travel plans for the day.

We love to meet and get to know people but also appreciate travelling can be very tiring and often people just need time to themselves.
We are available to assist and interact at your request
The Bay Bar & Brasserie is just 500 metres away providing great food and Taupo is just
5 km away where there are many more restaurants and bars.

Taupo is very centrally located for day trips to many locations.
Rotorua is just 50 minutes away Hobbiton movie set 1 1/2 hours.
Tongariro National Park for skiing and hiking the Tongariro Crossing and other hikes is 1 hour away
Napier 1 hour 50 minutes.

There are so many things to see and do in the beautiful playground we have on our doorstep.

Breakfast at The Loft Bed & Breakfast

Breakfast is a time to chat to Ian and Mary about what to do and see in our lovely area.

Mary has her own itinerary of favourites and is delighted to discuss all these options with you.

BREAKFAST CONTINENTAL AND COOKED
Daily breakfast includes both continental and cooked options.

The continental breakfast includes fresh fruit, natural yoghurt, muesli, cereal, orange juice, rye bread toast
and a selection of teas and coffee. The cooked options boasts bacon, eggs, tomatoes and toast.
