Secluded from the Nehemiah Brainerd House Bed & Breakfast behind a stand of tall pines,
the original 1932 Laurel Cottage has been restored and expanded to include a full kitchen, bathroom with double pedestal bathtub and a large subway tiled shower. A cozy double brass bed in the Great Room and a luxurious pull out queen size bed on the all season porch accommodates four comfortably and two indulgently. And the views from the porch windows across the Connecticut River to the hills beyond are spectacular in any season.
Whether for a romantic honeymoon stay, a second honeymoon or just a secluded getaway, the Laurel Cottage is a fabulous private retreat filled with antiques, reproduction William Morris wallpapers, flat screen HD TV, Sony Blue-ray 1080 disc player, central heat and air conditioning, full wireless internet access, and a gorgeous stone gas fireplace to cozy up to on a cold day. A private stone patio overlooks the Connecticut River and Haddam Meadows State Park and offers a gas grill built into a stone fireplace allowing cooking, dining, and relaxing outside.
Feel free to bring breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack items with you to cook in the charming, fully equipped kitchen or on the patio gas grill. Grocery stores and farmers markets are nearby.
And you will find complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the kitchen for your enjoyment.

Other amenities include a hairdryer, towels and bed linens, and luxury bathrobes.
The rate is $300 per night plus tax for single or double occupancy. An additional charge of $35 per guest per night plus tax applies for third and fourth guests. (Four adults maximum.)
A one time charge of $25 will apply to set up the queen sofa bed.
Reservations are based on a two night minimum.
Check out time is 11:00 a.m. Smoking is prohibited, please. No children under 13 allowed.
The Laurel Cottage is a stand-alone guest house and not part of the B&B so breakfast is not included in the rental fee.
