Magela Albuquerque has been painting since a very young age.
Early studies in his mother's art classe's in
Traditional Brazilian Folklore trained Magela's skill in painting and embroidery.
With the use and reuse of materials, Magela often creates unusual and unique, cheerful and
sophisticated masterpieces with a natural and popular air.
Lines, fabrics, buttons, shells, stones, beads are his companions in his journey of creating.
Paintings gain movement, texture and life.
His works have already been exhibited individually and collectively in various art exhibitions in Brazil and around the world and this playful and sensitive art makes the public feel a sense of jubilus emotion when seeing or touching it.
Being an Organic art… the work is never really finished.
New elements emerge to create and Infinite and everlasting art.
A sensitive, innovative and creative, transformation, the artist Magela was the subject of a graduation thesis, having the author defining hsi work as "Magellan art".
Magela teaches and , lectures in the community of Trancoso-Bahia, where he currently lives, His subject usually including children, the value of recycling, health and nature.
The art he makes reflects these elements.
