Helen Broadfoot is a Canadian artist living on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. Following several years doing non-profit painting for peace and fundraising for Doctors without Borders (Medcines Sans Frontiers (MSF) she began to paint professionally.
Much of her painting is figurative, but she gives free rein to her imagination. Subjects have usually been people or animals and the challenge has always been to catch an expression or evoke an emotion. Realistic painting in oil is her current medium and style.
Helen paints full time on a daily basis, except in the summer
hen she takes a little time with her husband, Glen, to sail the wonderful waters of British Columbia.
