Diana Gongora
Diana Gongora is a painter and a licensed creative arts therapist living in New York. She received her BA in Liberal Arts from Bard College, an MFA in Painting from the Hunter College and her MPS in Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute. Diana has exhibited her work in the USA, Italy, Germany, Austria and Japan. She established an art studio in Berlin & Cologne in Germany and Graz, in Austria where she lived for several years.
Diana's approach in the art studio has been to confront a canvas instinctually guided by color, composition, and the marks created in the picture. She is inspired by the enormous unspoken dialog and vocabulary that exists in abstract painting, often revealing more than words can describe. Diana describes her work as abstract landscapes, often including underlying figurative elements.
