Susan Tyler began painting under the guidance of her Grandmother at the age of 8. She has always gravitated to Oil painting although she also works in watercolor and acrylics. She gained her knowledge of art from numerous workshops and all but 3 hours of a BA degree from Sam Houston State University. (Those 3 hours was a civics course.)
In 2013, Susan opened an Art Gallery in Galveston, Texas. Her Art and Gallery was recognized by the Galveston Art League. In 2018, Susan moved to Centerville and opened a Studio in the Woods just outside of Centerville, Texas. She works with adults and children to help them develop their creative skills. Susan was one of the first artists to "decorate" the deer- public art on the square. You can find Susan in her studio or working somewhere in the region with students. She maintains a web page: www.tylerstudio.org to display and sell her work.
I currently have my work at G Lee Gallery in Galveston Texas and Black Wolf Ranch and Fiber in St. Ignatius Montana.
