"My name is Sara Rezende, I'm 24 years old and I'm an artist from Campinas - SP, Brazil.
I graduated in Architecture and Urbanism in 2016. However, my involvement with art began way before my academic years: I use to create drawings and paintings since I was a child.
After my graduation, I decided to invest in what I like doing most, and, developing and refining techniques, I began to spread this passion by doing small artworks on demand.
Today my artistic background is figurative, with a primary focus on human portraits and all the energy that emanates from their expressions.
I always try to challenge myself with my paintings, and when I feel confident with the style I am working on, I begin to use new tequiniques to develop even further, daring in the palette of colors, shapes and textures, always attentive to tonal values. I base my drawings on a number of daily references and I allow myself to deconstruct the realism without leaving behind the figurative.
I want to provide the viewer an opportunity for raw and unique creative interpretation, different than what they are used to.
My paintings come mainly from watercolor, acrylic paint on canvas and even walls, but I often use other materials like charcoal and oil, without limiting my creativity on the materials available.
I took part of exhibitions at architecture and design events such as the 2018 Most Sustainable Show, 2019 Campinas Decor and 2019 Most Sustainable Show, as well as group exhibitions and livepaintings at various events in Campinas - SP.
