PSYCHEDELIC SEXUAL KARMA
Vivid colours, erotic vibes and sensual pleasures is how I perceive and translate intimacy into art. My muses are playful, bold and shameless yet showcasing a positive attitude towards sexual intimacy and I wanted to showcase this through my theme ‘psychedelic sexual karma’. I had to throw away my notion of what colours I wanted to use and instead work with the colours and tones absorbed by the skin of my muses.
It is fascinating to learn how colour behaves on different skin tones with differing lights and shadows which made it a fun challenge when taking my photos through its digital stages. I didn’t want to simply take photos and present them as is but wanted to take them into another realm that draws you in, seduces you, teases you and fascinates your mind.
It has been a pleasurable process in so many ways for me and I have learnt and grown to understand that sexual pleasures should be embraced and discussed. Communication is critical and we should educate all on consent and teach all to respect each other’s sexual preferences
and boundaries. I choose to expand my mind…do you?

British artist and international adventurer, Neena, is developing her own inventive style.
Her muses range from figurative work to still life, flora and fauna to architecture, all of which influenced
by her first-hand experience both plein-air and in the studio experimenting with colour and a range of mediums.
Whether it be quick pen and ink sketches (a matter of making that mark), traditional representational work using charcoal, pencil and oil paints or photographic pieces taken through many digital phases, her creations are uniquely her own.
Neena is an emerging artist on the path of discovery to find and unleash her inner creative soul. Leaving the corporate world nearly two years ago to follow her artistic adventure, Neena has taken on her own self-defined foundation course that parallels her passion for travel. She aspires to be a mix master artist, one who does not conform, but entwines the different techniques and mediums she is exploring on this journey of hers.

DON’T LET THE WATERS RUN RED!
These art pieces reflect what we need to cherish and not let it fade away thus the digitised work of my photos taken in the Polar Regions. I carefully work with my photos, taking it through many digital phases, observing my subject, assessing what they might be thinking, feeling the mood, sensing the uncertainties and it’s the darkness of our doings that arise here.
The shimmering tones suggest a pristine world yet the undertone captures what could be the blood from our hands (as it’s not always visible) that is seeping through the waters that connect together the fauna and flora of the Polar Regions. The waters carry everything within to shores afar, impacting all that it touches and washes over. I can see it, I have seen it, on my travels in the Arctic and in Antarctica, the plastic and rubbish
floating and resting like a sore point, as one that does not belong.
It does not belong, it should not belong is what I hear my subject saying.
I ask myself “Is it the blood on my hands that is making the waters run red?” and you should too!
