Artist Statement
My art is a dialogue of contrasts—innocence and corruption, light and darkness, beauty and discomfort. Using stencils, spray paint, acrylics, inks, silk screens, and collage, I distill visual elements into their most essential forms, creating pieces that are as minimal as they are evocative.
Driven by themes of heartache, loss, struggle, and hope, my work is an exploration of the human condition. I aim to create images that are both visually pleasing and unsettling, encouraging viewers to confront uncomfortable truths and question their perceptions.
My process begins with constant sketching and the creation of photo references, often using models or digitally manipulated found images. These are then broken down to their base elements, stripped of extraneous detail to convey meaning through minimalism. I use this approach to highlight the tension between what is seen and what is felt, between beauty and unease.
Through my art, I hope to inspire thought, reflection, and connection—a moment where the visual meets the visceral, and the personal becomes universal. Other than that, I have nothing to say.
