Artist Statement

History occupies a prominent place in Ricardo’s art.
His paintings on wood panels combine Heraldic symbols which are accompanied by atmospheric Land-and Seascapes.

Spare in construction and color, the works according to Ricardo functions as allegory. “They create an emotional dialogue within the classical realm of the collective unconscious”
