"Ravens Tale" Private Collection Oil On Board
Some of my pieces are painted on broken plaster shards, a world falling apart held together with the very same figure depicted within. Visually I liked the play of illusion created when seeing the true depth of the plaster against the perceived depth that the image creates. The paintings are about the more universal message of meaning and preciousness of life healing a broken world. These works become guides to explore the challenges that speak to the core of one’s own existence. My hope is that their penetrating gaze will move the viewer out of complacency.
