Jose Higuera 1966. Realistic Spanish painter, from early childhood he showed a great interest in drawing and painting
Recognising his talent for the arts his family and teachers provided him with
the support education and materials to allow his development as a painter starting at the early age of ten.
His grandmother decided that he should take drawing and painting classes. Making friends with local painters, he began to develop basic techniques. working with landscapes he began his self taught training and experimentation leading him through the different art movements and influences.
Inevitably resulting in his own style of painting. Eventually his realistic approach to form and movement brought him to his current series of paintings and exhibitions. His works are now recognised world wide.
He worked exclusively for years for the art and auction hall of Madrid, which provided him with the experience and professional contacts needed to dedicate himself to painting as his only activity. While exhibiting in numerous exhibitions in different venues in the USA and Europe.
He currently lives in Cantabria (Spain), where reality (as a theme) continues to occupy his time ...
