Welcome to Hazelwood, simply great B&B. 

Our bed and breakfast accommodation is situated in New Zealand's beautiful South Island coastal village of Mapua and is in easy walking distance of Mapua Village and the gorgeous Mapua Wharf which offers an array of cafes, wharfside restaurants and craft shops.

Mapua is conveniently located between Nelson and Motueka. Take a short drive and discover the many perfect swimming and surfing beaches, try kayaking, skydiving or take a cruise, visit award winning wineries or simply be amazed at the lush native bush and golden sands
of the Abel Tasman, Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes National Parks.

Our fully furnished bed and breakfast accommodation offers our guests the privacy of their own luxury en-suite accommodation, plus a shared guest living area. Relax and unwind in our homely holiday accommodation in Mapua - simply great B&B!

We provide a delicious continental style breakfast for you to enjoy at your leisure, which can be served in our guest dining room or in the sunny courtyard. Check out our sample menu below.

We have two bed and breakfast rooms available:

Room One is a large room with a king bed, en-suite, and looks out towards Mount Arthur and the sea.

Room Two is a slightly smaller room with king bed, en-suite, and overlooks our pleasant orchard & vegetable garden.

Around Mapua

Ideally located for exploring the Nelson Tasman region, Hazelwood is situated within walking distance of Mapua village where you will discover interesting shops, restaurants, pubs and local breweries and health and beauty care. 

Stroll down to the wharf or discover some great coastal walks and cycling tracks. 

From the wharf you can catch the Mapua Ferry to Rabbit Island where you can enjoy more great walks, cycle
tracks and swimming. The ferry takes bicycles.

As part of the Great Taste Cycle Trail we offer all the facilities you need to support and enhance your holiday experience.
Bring your own bikes or hire them in the village. 

Historical Nelson city with its music and arts festivals is a short drive away. Golf courses, local breweries and vineyards are all within easy access. For great swimming, kayaking and tramping you will discover all these and more in the stunning

Abel Tasman National Park just 30mins drive and a boat trip away. Drive on a little further to discover the Nelson lakes, Farewell Spit or, if you’re feeling more active, Rainbow ski field or Mount Arthur. As you journey around the area you will discover many
interesting art and craft studios and a wealth of Maori and Kiwi history.
