I began sewing at very young age, taught by my grandmother.

My Granny was a very accomplished seamstress and drafted her own patterns. I grew up in the northwest corner of Montana in a little town called Libby. My mother was musician and didn't like to sew or cook, so I learned from my granny. I married young and had 3 children by the time I was 19, I also became a single mom shortly after my youngest (then) son was born. I began sewing clothes for them (and myself) but really loved quilting.

I traveled a lot as a dancer and made costumes (mine & others) I've lived in a few states, and lived on Guam for a few years where I had 2 more children. I had a thriving mail order business on Guam buying and selling Oriental dolls and Kimonos.

When I returned to the states I joined a quilters guild where I began making tote bags and purses where I could combine my love of quilting with my love of making something useful. As I have said, it keeps me "off the streets"-LOL.
And yes I have lived a very interesting life. My husband and I now live a fairly quiet life in the Great Northwest.
