Maureen Riesco is a contemporary-realism oil painter, whose art has been described as alluring, whimsical, vibrant, and fun.
Her current focus is painting female portraits and figures, using colors and
a wet-on-wet technique that combine to produce an edgy, vintage feel.

Her portraits are often embellished with small animals, birds or flowers that help evoke emotions and tell a story in the mind of the viewer.  Her images provide an escape to a more whimsical place and time.

In addition to her degree in engineering, Maureen has studied drawing and painting at universities, art studios, and with private teachers.  Her work and style are always evolving as she experiments with new themes and painting techniques.

My greatest passion is painting animals of all types, and I painted this series
experimenting with combining both abstract with realism.

I primarily paint in oils, and my work is know for it's vibrant colors and graphic style. I live in Colorado and my work is exhibited in Denver area galleries and in various art shows, through which I have received a number of awards.

Cecilia Brendel

Born in St Louis Missouri in 1962, Cecilia Brendel's initial art education was in
Technical illustration and Graphic Arts. Illustrating for clients such as University of Notre Dame,
Florida Institute of Technology, Harley Davidson, Holiday Rambler.

Her early illustrating career lead her into working for Publishers such as MacGraw-Hill Publishing, GMA Publishing and American Book Publishers, designing book covers, illustrating children's books and illustrating technical articles and other publications. Advertising designs for an independent film presented to Cannes. Cecilia's technical skills took a turn when Broadway Theater asked her to paint sceneries for them.
