Tartaglia Fine Art started in 2011 in Ojai California when Danna Tartaglia rescued a gallery that was closing.
A second rendition opened on Canyon Road in Santa Fe in 2014 and then her gallery opened
on Bainbridge Island Washington just before the pandemic hit its peak.
Danna retired and moved back home to Texas and family in 2021 and realized the need for a fine art gallery in The Woodlands area.
The opportunity came in June of 2023 with an available space and Danna is selecting the best local artists for her new gallery.

SUZIE BAKER
Representational, painterly, impressionistic, and inspiring—these are all perfect ways to describe Suzie Greer Baker’s paintings. Whether she’s painting a lush landscape on location, creating an evocative still life in the studio, or completing a commissioned portrait, Suzie paints with a loose, alla prima technique that is always evolving as she experiments with new approaches.

JUAN CANTEVELLA
Juan Cantavella was born in Orleans, France on June 14, 1941 in the middle of WWII, from refugee Spanish parents after they fled from
Franco’s regime. In 1948 his family moved to Venezuela looking for better opportunities.
Growing up in Venezuela, when he was 15, he discovered his interest in art while he was convalescing from a surgery. Starting with “paint by numbers” kits he rapidly began painting on his own using the kit’s left over paints.
His father thought that Juan should not waste time painting but study hard to become somebody with a future. However, he never quit painting, without direction or teaching, since art school was never an option. With the help of his mother Juan continued to paint with brushes and paints she secretly provided him.

TOM LAROCK
I retired from a career in Mechanical Engineering in 2013 and took up painting, a passion of mine since I was a child. I moved to New York City to train in the techniques of the masters of representational drawing and painting.
New York uniquely provided access to many opportunities to view and obtain concentrated instruction in the creation of fine art. I was and continue to be inspired by the artistic environment in New York where the recent resurgence in the creation of realistic art by contemporary masters is thriving. Many schools, ateliers and studios of artists who paint, sculpt and instruct in the realistic styles of the European and American masters of the 18th and 19th centuries have been established.
The realization that concentrated study was going to be necessary to get me to the next level of artistic excellence led me to New York and to a studio where I could work full time in the study and practice of realistic painting.

DEBRA RILEY
Following a career in the business world I was able to return to my love of creatiivity and began to focus primarily on oil painting. It has been a wonderfully fulfilling journey of lessons, workshops, travel, studio work and plein air painting. My passion for painting and my desire to learn grows each and every day and I have been fortunate to have the support of my family and friends.
I currently serve as the Gallery Manager of the Madeley Gallery in Conroe, Texas.
Member: Oil Painters of America, International Guild of Realism, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society.

I came into the world with crayon in hand. Creativity is my default mode.
My painting is instinctive, of my own education, formed from years of observation, from doing the work of painting and allowing my inner artist to lead the way.
Figuring out the next painting puts me in the happy zone.
No two paintings are the same, its all about what the subject seems to ask me to do, and evolves as paint is applied to canvas.
Art classes in high school were the spark that catapulted me into a lifetime of painting - through many subjects and painting on everything I could put a mark on.
The natural world has been a constant thread - with animals a favorite subject.
Recent years found my attention captured again and again by horses.
I want to paint many things and I sometimes stray from the horses and the animals to paint a floral, a still life or a landscape, but always coming back to what takes my breath away, the animals.
The horses. Motion and Emotion.
We of the two legged have an affinity for horses.
We don't usually analyze this attraction, we simply love them.
There's certainly a lot to love about these beautiful beasts.
They are indeed beautiful to the eye and to the touch.
They touch our soul when we connect to a particular horse, and they reciprocate that feeling.
There is scientific evidence that horses have a healing affect for us. It's a "Biodirectional healing that happens when we are near horses".
"Our respiration and heartbeat entrain with the slower rates of the horse”. *
I sense this when being near horses. I believe our intuition knows all of this already, the studies simply confirm and put it into scientific fact.
The feelings of being near horses, even when viewing photos of horses - that's what keeps me coming back again and again to capture their many emotions in my paint.
