Born in St Louis Missouri in 1962, Cecilia Brendel's initial art education was in
Technical illustration and Graphic Arts. Illustrating for clients such as University of Notre Dame,
Florida Institute of Technology, Harley Davidson, Holiday Rambler.
Her early illustrating career lead her into working for Publishers such as MacGraw-Hill Publishing, GMA Publishing and American Book Publishers, designing book covers, illustrating children's books and illustrating technical articles and other publications. Advertising designs for an independent film presented to Cannes. Cecilia's technical skills took a turn when Broadway Theater asked her to paint sceneries for them.
Painted many sets for broadway shows, including top shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Jekyle and Hyde, Wizard of Oz, Grande Ol Opry to name a few. The technical field soon evolved into the fine art end. Developing her skills as a fine artist, Cecilia studied with a few master artist such as Alexei Antonov, Cesar Santos, Douglas Flynt and Virgil Elliott.
This strengthened her skills to help produce pieces for several private and industrial clients worldwide. Including on her client list was a high end Hotel, Grande Hotel Sablon in Brugge Belgium, St Joseph Hospital in South Bend Indiana, St. Boniface Church, Piqua, Ohio, Church of the Incarnation, Dayton, Ohio, and Wright State Univeristy, Ohio. Combining Cecilia Brendel's illustrative and realism
quality has given her a uniqueness in her paintings.
