Alannah Farrell
My drawings of characters and buildings are based upon memories from western upstate NY. The area is economically depressed and vacant, in limbo between vanishing cities and wilderness.
My pieces act as fictitious portraits influenced by a combination of the rural desolation and ghostly urban blight I witnessed in my formative years and the individuals that resided there.
